With effect from 1 January 1999, Optical Coating Technologies Ltd (formerly Pulsafe Optical Coatings) part of the Dalloz Safety business, began to operate as an independent private limited company.

The main operation of the business is the application of coatings to Optical Lenses, Visors, Protective eyewear, Instrument Panels and Covers.

We are delighted that David Playfair continues as the Coating Services Manager, supported by a number of experienced coating operators. This provided a seamless transition of business and product quality. David has an excellent reputation within the optical coating industry, built up over the last 11 years.

David is an apprentice trained production Engineer whose skills are well suited to the complex issues involved with the dip coating operation employed at Optical Coating Technologies.

Tom Carr, the former Plant Manager of Dalloz Safety at Tamworth, supplies administration and International Technical Standards support. With a degree in mechanical Engineering and an MBA, Tom is well placed to assist in developing the business.

The many connections we have within the optics, injection mould tooling and coatings business are at the disposal of our customers.
