Hard and Abrasion Resistant Coatings

With our abrasion resistant coatings, the deterioration of polycarbonate can be greatly reduced and still retain its toughness and impact resistance.

The coatings are both durable and extremely flexible, allowing their use on items with low flexural strength, without the risk of crazing.

Our coatings are so smooth they improve light transmission by up to 10%, reduce light scatter and help prevent the build up of dirt on the surface.

In addition, abrasion resistant coatings are tolerant of many chemicals, most notably the solvents and fuels, which seriously degrade polycarbonate and which are in everyday use in industry and the home.

OCT Given the Green Light!

The all clear was signalled when a revolutionary traffic lamp utilising LED technology got the green light for production.
We applied a super smooth lacquer to improve the surface finish of the lenses.

This increased light transmission by 10% and delivered a bonus benefit of fighting off grime.

So smooth was the OCT coating that not even a microscopic crevice remained to allow dirt to stick.
